'7G Rainbow Colony' earns the dubious distinction of being the Shri Surya Movies film that took the longest time to complete. Selvaraghavan is known for his habit of getting the script ready before he leaves for shooting.

But, why has he run into so much of delay with this film?

When asked, the unit blames it on language problem. The film 'Rainbow Colony' is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The film is progressing very fast in Tamil but is limping in Telugu.

Selvaraghavan doesn't know Telugu, so he shoots the film with a translator by his side. Sonia Agarwal delivers her dialogues well in Tamil but fumbles in Telugu.

The language barrier of the director and the heroine is creating lot of hindrances in the Telugu version. AM Rathnam is now worried if the film would do well at the box office but since the film has been sold for a huge amount that runs in Crores, he isn't complaining.
