Chennai, Sep 9 (IANS) DMK chief M. Karunanidhi will write a screenplay and dialogue for a film after a gap of eight years.
The Tamil feature film titled "Kalaignarin Kannamma" is on the travails of a Kargil war widow.
"I had approached Karunanidhi years ago, when I had the story," says Babha, director of the movie, which was launched at the AVM Studios Wednesday.
A young Karunanidhi had shot to fame after he wrote the riveting dialogues for "Parashakti", the debut film of thespian Sivaji Ganesan.
The DMK president has so far written screenplays and dialogues for 33 films. The last one was for "Puthiya Parashakti".
