But, even before the words were out of his mouth, Khushboo had signed up a new film, 'Karagaatakaari'.

London Shoban's Shrinidhi theatres always wanted to make a film on the lives of female folk dancers of Karagam. Since 'Karagaatakaaran' celebrated silver jubilee, they have named this film 'Karagaatakaari'. Khushboo, who had acted in songs like 'Otthai rooba', is going to be the heroine of this film.

Shridhar, of 'Manadhil Urudhi Vendum', costars with her. The film has another couple- Vilasini and newcomer Naveen Krishna. Also starring are Vinu Chakravarthy, Shanmugasundaran, Ganthimathi, Yugendran, Nellai Shiva, Thyagu and others.
 
Bharatikanna, who made the audience go in a trance with films on Amman, is going to direct this one. Just to make sure that the film does as well as 'Karagaatakaran' did, they have brought in Kanaga, Senthil and Koundamani too.

If they had it their way, they would even bring the story in.
