Vikram is a superstar in Tamil films now. But, success didn't come easily to this talented hero. 

He was in a reminiscing mood when he began narrating his earlier works. "I had dubbed for Ajith in his first film 'Amaravathi'. The friendship and bond that was established during the making of the film continues even now. I still go to his house. He gives pretty lavish dinners to guests.

"His film 'Vaali' is my favorite film."

About Kamalhasan, he said, "You shouldn't see the actor on the screen. You should see the character. Kamal was the biggest role model for this adage. He told me once that I act better than others. It was indeed a big compliment coming from him."
