When southern actresses move to Bollywood, they usually leave behind no incomplete assignments. They also see to it that they don’t take up any fresh project on home-ground as they expect a clean start with Hindi films. But Trisha, who has been a darling of the southern film world, isn’t following the same. Even as she makes her move towards Bollywood, she has gained a stronger hold in Tamil and Telugu by signing some new films. She has signed on the dotted line for a film titled Bridavanam in Telugu which has NTR in it. She’s also got a project with Venkatesh. In Tamil, she is doing Gautham Menon’s Vennaithaandi Varuvaaya.

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan, who launched Trisha in Tamil with Lesa Lesa, has just started work on the Akshay Kumar -Trisha starrer Khatta Meeta at a hamlet on the outskirts of Pune. Trisha dashed down from USA where she was shooting with Simbu for Vennaithaandi Varuvaaya to Pune to start work on her maiden Hindi assignment.

One of the conditions before Trisha was cast in the film was that she should speak Hindi fluently without any trace of a southern accent. Initially, Trisha was a little doubtful whether she would pass the acid-test. But after putting in enough and more efforts in that direction, Trisha stunned everyone, Akshay included, with her free-flowing Hindi. Looks like Trisha is all set for a perfect launch at B-town.
