It is a pleasing personality to watch. Yes, we are talking about Sathyaraj & Sibiraj combination. They forget that they are father and son that's why, they stand out as a pleasing pair. All the while, Sathyaraj was having combinations with Manivannan, or Goundamani. Now Sibi replaces both of them. The same 'Kongu' Tamil, the same silent repartee being given to his father Sathyaraj is some thing what the viewers want to enjoy for relaxation.
Normally when fathers are there in the sets, their sons feel agitated and excited. It is likely to be reflected in their scenes. But Sibi has been advised by Sathyaraj, that " You also have come to perform your duty, and I have also come to act, in the sets we are co-actors. Never mix the father and son relationship in this. You be free, then only you will be able to come up in life". This is rather, a very practical approach. Sibi tells, if I do well in the set, my father will come on his own and give a pat on the back telling me 'Keep it up'. It is very healthy even to hear.
Sathyaraj has no expectations that he should make his son a Superstar. So he is not under any tension. Sibi himself loves acting, when he approached his father for permission, he firmly told him to continue his studies, and get a degree first. "As I was studying B.com in Loyola College, the first offer of 'Student No.1' came from director Selva"
Sathyaraj said 'Ok' to Sibi and he became 'Student No.1!'.
After a longer gap only 'Jore' has come. Why this long gap? Sibi tells," Director Selva had told him a suitable story for him, as well as his father was with him, so that they can act together. "But Selva sir was busy in some other assignment and hence I waited". Waiting for some thing is nothing wrong, father-son combination worked out very well. "I was able to get trained in Action, Music, fight, in all this during this gap. Sibi feels happy about that his capability and confidence has become more than double during this lean period.
Who is his favorite star?.. Ofcourse my father!.. I try not to copy him, and occasionally that shade of the my father, get hovering on me. Even that is good as people who enjoy the film.
Sathyaraj became Villain first then only got transformed into a hero, what about you? As a villain, I won't be successful. If you want me to do, anti hero roles like 'Priyamudan' Vijay, or like Ajith in 'Vaali'. I am sure I will be able to perform well. Sibi is very well aware that being son of a good actor Sathyaraj alone cannot retain him in the field for long, one should prove his ability, then only, one can survive in this competitive world! He is sure on that! This altitude will help him win many good things in the film field.
Our good wishes to him!
