Vivek and Vadivel are the highest paid comedians in the Tamil cinema industry. Their competition is staggering with one after the other always. This time Vivek outdoes Vadivel. He has replaced Vadivel in director Suraaj’s ‘Padikathavan’ starring Dhanush and Tamanna.

Vadivel was initially signed for the film and had shot for two days. But then he got into a tow with Dhanush and Suraaj. Formerly Suraaj-Vadivel combination had worked in two movies ‘Thalainagaram’ and ‘Maruthamalai’. The screenplay and his comic timings clicked with the audienece. 

But Vadivel did not like the comedy track in ‘Padikathavan’ with Dhanush and protested against it. He wanted to say his own lines for a scene, which the director wouldn’t comply to. Suraaj opted to replace Vadivel with Vivek. Vadivel certainly was not very happy with the change. Vivek has readily adjusted his dates and join the unit of the film in Hyderabad.
