The news of Aishwarya Rai in Shankar’s ‘Robot’ has caught the entire Kollywood in frenzy. This would be the first time that Bollywood’s super hit actress come down to share the frame with Indian Cinema’s greatest hero Rajnikanth. The actor had been vying hard for long to have Aishwarya Rai as his heroine. However, he struck gold with Shankar’s ‘Robot’ now. Discoursing on Shankar and Rajnikanth, Aishwarya Rai said, “They are super entertainers, independently and together; it can be a problem saying no to them. I did get an enquiry last year when I was away on ‘Pink Panther’. This time I am happy that we could work out our schedule.”
The presence of a star as great as Rajnikanth always seems to overshadow his heroines on screen. Fielding this claim, Aishwarya averred, “I don’t think it’s a fair statement. You can’t but be fascinated by this phenomenon called Rajini sir. He is so super fascinating and intriguing to his audience. I don’t think it’s a deliberate attempt by any director to sideline any actor or character working along with him.”
“Rajini Sir is such a wonderful human being. He has been so close to the family too. I am glad and honored to be working with him,” adds the green-eyed beauty.
With a starcast as big as Aishwarya Rai and Rajnikanth to boast of, Shankar’s ‘Robot’ has got all eyes rolling. With its music by A.R Rahman, this Ayngaran and Eros International production venture is sure to get high on all.
