Its celebration time for actress Asin as the crown of Kollywood queen rests on her head! She has been unanimously chosen as the reigning actress of Tamil cinema. The results have been declared based on the survey conducted by Loyola College’s School of Media studies in Chennai. She has been voted as the most popular actress of Tamil Nadu. Her popularity ranges over her contemporaries like Jyothika, Sneha and Trisha.

Out of 2945 respondents, 14.1 percent voted for Asin, Jyothika came second with 11.8 percent, Sneha with 8.9 percent, Trisha with 7.5 percent and Simran held 6.1 percent. The most popular celebrity of Tamil Nadu was undoubtedly megastar Rajnikanth reigning the poll with 15.6 percent of popular vote.

Asin has also topped the popularity chart in another poll carried out in a Coimbatore college. With her two films arriving in the forthcoming days, she is sure to set the screen ablaze driving the audience to frenzy. Watch out for ‘Aalwar’ and ‘Pokiri’ during Pongal!
