The film ‘Ullam Ketkumae’ starring Shyam and Laila has been banned.

‘Ullam Ketkumae’ is the second film from director/cinematographer Jeeva. His first film was ‘12B’. he had first named the film ‘Pepsi’, but the softdrink company had objected to it. So, he had changed it to ‘Ullam Ketkumae’. Shyam, Laila, Pooja and others have acted in the film. This should have been Pooja’s first film. But, ‘Jay Jay’ had got released first.

The film ‘Ullam Ketkumae’ should have been released today. But, financier Vijay Bajaj had filed a petition at the High Court against the film. He claims,

“I had lent money amounting to Rs 43 Lakhs in installments for the production of this film. The producer had agreed to repay the loan along with interests before the film’s release. But, attempts are being made to release the film without repaying the loans. I own the copyrights of the film. I therefore demand that the film be not released.”

Justice Balasubramaniam issued a temporary stay on the film’s release.
