Lohitadas is the unnecessary victim of the Meera Jasmine family dispute. 'This is my seventeenth year in the film industry and not once has my reputation been so badly destroyed,' he said.

Meera Jasmine's family claims that the director/screenplay writer is misleading their innocent daughter away from them because he is after her money. But, Meera claims that with a family like hers, she would rather trust a bandit. She claims that Lohitadas is like a father to her.

'It is seventeen years now since I entered films. I was involved with theatre and writing before I entered films. Even when I was poor, I didn't cheat anybody. There were times when film producers didn't pay me for my work but I never bitched about them. But, now I have enough money. I'm well off. Why should I need her money?

'Meera's family should be proud of her. She is such a talented actress. Her father claims that I had taken checks from her. It is not true at all!'

But what about the rumors that you have asked her to finance your film in Tamil and 'Chembatta'?

'Who said Meera is producing those films? When those films get released then you will know the truth'.
