"Even before I acted in the film 'Black' I was known as the Black Beauty on the small screen," Shreya said.

Shreya had already done two films in Telugu and an English film. "I had got many offers in Tamil but I was not interested in running around trees. I'm not interested in doing meaningless glamorous roles either. That's why I had refused all those offers," she said.

Shreya is excited about her role in the new film 'Black' with Mammooty. "I play the role of an innocent woman who comes in search of her husband. Mammooty is my guru when it comes to acting. I get to act with him in the film. I had no makeup in the film. Usually, I'm a very boisterous person in real life but the role in the film is quiet contrary to it. It was very difficult initially to get in the mood of the character. But after a day or two, I managed."

She says she would love to come back to Malayalam.
