There were talks that Mammooty and Mohanlal are going to act together in Shafi's new film. But it isn't going to happen. 

'Thommanum Makkalum', the new film by director Shafi, was going to star Mammooty and Mohanlal together as brothers. Lal Creations was going to produce the film. But, now, it has been confirmed that Mohanlal is not going to act in the film. 

Search is on for the replacement. But, the rest of the cast is left intact- Innocent, Lal and others. 

Mammooty was going to work with Shaji Kailash after completing this film. That has been postponed too.
