Two 'Kazhcha' songs among toppers

Kochi, Sep 30 (IANS) A song featuring children steals the show this fortnight. A village ditty from the same film, "Kazhcha", joins the Malayalam music top five list.

1. "Dappu, Dappu Janaki" - Film: "Kazhcha". Music: Mohan Sithara. Lyrics: Kaithapram. Singers: Mobin, Vishnu, Priya R. Pai and others.
The song shows a rain dance by kids led by Master Yash and Baby Shanusha.

2. "Kuttikurumbi" - Film: "Satyam". Music: M. Jayachandran. Lyrics: S. Ramesan Nair. Singers: Sujatha and Vidya Vishwambharan. This song has been filmed on Priyamani and Baby Taruni with foot-tapping music.

3. "Kuttanadan" - Film: "Kazhcha". Music: Mohan Sithara. Lyrics: Kaithapram. Singers: Madhu Balakrishnan and Kalabhavan Mani.
This rustic song has grown in popularity with the film.

4. "Makkasai Makkaasai" - Film: "Vettam". Music: Benny Ignatius. Lyrics: Nadirsha. Singers: M. G. Sreekumar and Nadisha. Its satirical lyrics have pushed this song to the top five.

5. "Whistle, Whistle" - Film: "Satyam". Music: M. Jayachandran. Lyrics: Kaithapram. Singers: Alex and Ganga. A strong Tamil influence is visible in the song.
