This time around producer Oscar Ravichandran doesn't want to take risks with making a very expensive film and get struck in the middle for various reasons. So, he has insured his new film 'Anniyan' for a whooping Rs 29 crores!

Oscar Ravichandran of Oscar Films, is the one who is producing the film 'Anniyan'. He had insured the film with a US based company named Avon.

Producers can insure films on four grounds- Film stars, technicians, sets and negatives. In case the film gets struck or gets dropped, the producer's money is completely wasted. When the film is insured, the producer is repaid the expenses. Shankar is directing 'Anniyan' and he is known for his lavish budgets. So, the producer thought it safe to inure the film.

This is the first Indian film to be insured for such a high price!
