'Naaturajavu' is a big hit, if initial reports are anything to go by. But, this is not the only action film that is going to get released this season.

'Sathyam' is special because it is the first time that Prithviraj plays a cop. Malayalam audience is very selective about accepting its heroes in the roles of Police Officers. Industry observers eagerly await the audience's reaction to seeing Prithviraj as a cop.

This is director Vinayan's next film after 'Vellinakshatram' which incidentally starred Prithviraj in the lead. Taruni, the young girl from 'Vellinakshatram' too is being repeated in 'Sathyam'. Priyamani plays the role of a journalist who helps Prithviraj unravel truths. There is one problem- she is seen babysitting Taruni more often than doing any legitimate journalistic work in the film.

Prithviraj is Sanjeev Kumar, a second generation cop. His father was a cop too. Sanjeev Kumar is everything an honest police officer is- duty bound, straight forward person who isn't afraid of the consequences while doing his duty.

This is an action film with some melodious songs.
