Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 6 (PTI): Facing dubbing artistes' ire over her reported remarks against them, popular South Indian actress Padmapriya today tendered an apology to dubbing artistes of the Malayalam film industry and said she had not said anything adverse about them during a recent television interview.

"If my statement has hurt anybody directly or indirectly,I sincerely apologise for it," Padmapriya told a press conference here.

The Malayalam Dubbing Artistes Association had demanded a public apology from the actress and had also warned that they would not co-operate with her in future if she did not tender an apology.

Clarifying her statement, Padmapriya said she was only talking about her incompleteness as an actress. "I would like to dub myself for my films," she said adding it did not mean that dubbing artistes were not doing their work properly.

"I want to learn the language that I do not know and it is an artiste's wish," she said.
