A few years ago, Ramgopal Varma made 'Ab Tak Chappan', a film based on real-life Mumbai cop Daya Naayak. Now, Kannada film industry is planning to make another film on him.

In 'Ab Tak Chappan', Nana Patekar had played the lead role. The Kannada film, tentatively titled 'Encounter Day Naayak', is going to be directed by B Rajendra Babu. MG Ramamurthy is producing the film. The film's budget is fixed at a massive Rs 4 Crores.

The specialty of this film is- the cop, Daya Naayak himself is making his appearance in the initial few scenes of the film!

Sachin is going to play the main role, however. Mahesh Manjrekar too is going to act in an important role in the film.

This will be an interesting film to watch out for.
