Srinagar Kitty is in Bangkok finishing two songs for his current film, Swayamvara. “The shooting for the film is on at a fast pace,” says Kitty. The actor has decided to move out of the off-beat genre and only do commercial films. Swayamvara is a remake of Mujhse Shaadi Karoge in which Kitty plays the role of Salman. “I’ve watched the original, but I’ve given my own twist to the role,” says the actor.

Kitty’s next project is Sanju Weds Geetha and he’ll be seen opposite Ramya for the first time. He adds that they have used the names of the characters from Shanker Nag’s Geetha. “And I have two different looks in the film — in the second half, I have to lose 8 to 9 kilos,” says the actor. Not revealing more about the film, Kitty instead talks about his co-star. “I share a good rapport with Ramya. She’s a thorough professional. With Nagashekhar as the director and Satya Hegde behind the camera, I’m looking forward to this film,” he says.

Kitty also has another exciting project in hand. “This is a realistic film, which will be directed by Dwarki who earlier made two Kannada films; Gunna and Shambu. He also directed BY2, which was my first multilingual film,” says Kitty adding, “This film deals with a controversial subject. I start the project in November.”
