Popular Malayalam heroine Navya Nair is foraying into Kannada cinema by playing Darshan’s heroine in a new film titled ‘Gaja’. Suresh Gowda and P.S.Srinivasamurthy are producing it with K.Madesh as the director and Harikrishna as the music director. It has gone to the floors recently.
This talented actress is confident of leaving her footprints in Sandalwood. “I have done both off-beat and commercial subjects in 25 odd films. When I came into Kollywood, I only knew one word in Tamil but now I am fluent. Now, while I am making my debut in Kannada I know two words of Kannada and I hope to learn the language soon,” she said.
However, her career in Malayalam has kissed the dust following her foray in Kollywood. In fact, she entered Tamil at the cost of her Malayalam Projects. Her next Tamil film is ‘Mayakannadai’, where she acts with Cheran.
