Actor Naseeruddin Shah and wife Ratna will come together in this Friday release ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. They are not just associated to the film but are also associated with Aamir Khan and happen to be his family friends. Their son Imaad and Aamir's nephew Imran, are childhood friends. Aamir managed the casting coup of Naseer and Ratna in Imran’s debut film.

‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ will bring them on reel as real life husband and wife. They are playing Imran's parents. Ratna was cast initially in the role of the mother and she suggested roping in Naseer to play her husband in the movie. Ratna’s character has been modelled on Imran’s mother Nuzhat. Director Abbas Tyrewala was so floored by Nuzhat that he wanted the character to resemble her. Tyrewala went to length to make Ratna copy her hairstyle and mannerisms as well. That means Imran surely didn’t miss his mother on the sets.
