Mumbai, October 28 (PTI) A local Mumbai court has asked the film distribution company, M/S Popular Entertainment Network, to file its response on a police report on its allegations of cheating against actor Hrithik Roshan, his father Rakesh Roshan and maternal grandfather J Omprakash, over the distribution of their home production films.

The order was passed yesterday by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate J B Pankhe.

The court had earlier ordered police to investigate the allegations levelled by M/S Popular Entertainment Network against Hrithik, producer Rakesh Roshan and filmmaker J Omprakash.

Jayantilal Gada of M/S Popular Entertainment Network filed six complaints against Hrithik and his family alleging that the Roshans backed out of their agreement with the film distribution company thus cheated his firm.
On October 12 police submitted its report and yesterday court asked the complainant to file its reply.

The matter was earlier in the high court, which stayed the arrest of the Roshans and referred it to the lower court.

According to Hrithik's lawyer, Dipesh Mehta, police in its report has said that the Roshans have not committed any criminal offence and that the dispute between them and Popular Entertainment Network is of civil nature.
