Mumbai, Oct 14 (PTI) Veteran actress Nirupa Roy passed away late on Wednesday night following a cardiac arrest, industry sources said.

Known as the mother of Indian screen heroes, Roy, acted in various films in her career spanning over three decades.

Her films with super star Amitabh Bachchan- Deewar, Mard, Khoon Pasina and Amar Akbar Anthony were among the popular ones.
