Indore, Oct 9 (PTI) Filmstar Nana Patekar won the silver medal in the rifle prone (big bore) 300m event in the 14th GV Mavlankar shooting championship at the BSF's Elite Reoti Shooting Ranges in Indore on Friday.

The star of many Bollywood films like Ab Tak Chhappan, which deals with police encounters with underworld gangsters, Patekar tallied a score of 514 out of 600 to prove his seriousness for his latest obsession.

The gold was won by ace shooter and Olympian Naresh Kumar of Chhattisgarh with a fine score of 554.

Patekar, who has already qualified to take part in the ongoing 48th National Shooting Championship in Indore in the 50 meter rifle prone position and 300 m big bore events, can now hope to win a medal in the big event.
