Actress Aishwarya Rai, the global face of Bollywood, on Thursday had her wax statue unveiled at the world-famous Madame Tussaud's wax museum, becoming the second star from India to be honoured after Amitabh Bachchan.

The 31-year-old Mangalorian, who is playing the lead role in the upcoming English film Bride and Prejudice directed by Gurinder Chadha, was quite thrilled to see her life-size wax statue and said: "I like it."

Chadha, producer of smash hit film 'Bend It Like Beckham' said: "The wax work is not as beautiful as Aishwarya."

After the formal unveiling of the statue, Aishwarya posed for photographs with the Wax work.

It was followed by a dance seen from Bride and Prejudice, performed by Independent, a London-based dance group.

Bride and Prejudice is scheduled for world premiere on October 8.

Aishwarya Rai's hit films included Devdas (2002), Taal  (1999) and Mohabbatein (2000).

Amitabh Bachchan, who was declared as a star of the Millennium in a BBC poll, was the first Bollywood star whose wax statue was installed at Madame Tussaud's.

A number of former Indian Prime Ministers including Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi find their place in the museum.
