Nokia Chairman and CEO Jorma Ollila and Bollywood film actress Urmila Matondkar were on Sunday presented Priyadarshini Academy awards at a function in Mumbai.
While Ollila was presented with the Harish Mahindra memorial global award for corporate social responsibility, Matondkar was bestowed upon with Smita Patil Memorial Award for best actress.
Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Great Britain Lord Navnit Dholakia won the global award for outstanding contribution for promotion of human rights and democracy, while the global award for outstanding contribution to logistics was bagged by Hiroshi Tsutsui.
The global award for contribution to environment and afforestation went to member of the Philippines senate member Loren Legarda.
The national award for contribution in the field of public service was won by IDBI Chairman M Damodaran, while neurologist Dr BS Singhal received the national award for contribution in Medicine.
Vice Chancellor of the SNDT Women's University Rupa Shah bagged the national award for contribution in field of education ad the Overseas Indian award went to Wearwel International Chairman Haru Mahtani.
