Actress Neetu Chandra seems to have a heart of gold behind her contagious looks. Her love for social cause has brought about great dividend to her life. Now, UNICEF has appointed her as the youth icon from Maharashtra. Her softer side came out in the open when tears filled her eyes on her visit to AIDS affected areas in rural Maharashtra. She was taking part in an AIDS rally organized by UNICEF. She along with some volunteers visited Chandrapur to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS.

This pretty girl gets immense satisfaction from working for social causes. She feels Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Traffic Signal’ has opened up the gates of opportunity for her to take part in various social projects. She is also the ambassador for the welfare of girl child in Bihar, which is a part of Omaxe Foundation. She has set a good example for others to follow by financially supporting two girls aged nine and 13.
