Mumbai, July 19 : The duo who have done films like Faraar, Chupke Chupke and Desh Premi are coming together again in AB Corp's Viruddh to be launched in Mumbai this Thursday.

Viruddh is a bilingual film that addresses various issues of a common man's plight against the system. The film, which is being directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, John Abraham, Sachin Khedekar, Shivaji Satam and Beena.

Shooting for the film will start in July this year and it will be released in May next year. Amitabh and Sharmila play the lead protagonist in the film while John Abaham plays their son. A leading American actress is yet to finalized to play the lead opposite John Abhram.

The film was supposed to be launched last week but due to untimely demise of eminent producer Yash Johar the event was postponed to this week.
