A.R.Rehman is in his prodigious best in this Ashuthosh Gawrikar directorial venture. Put to verse by Javed Akhthar these songs are a blend of Indian classical, folk and western jazz. With its earthy flavor these tracks instantly connects with the simple and down to earth masses. From the opening track ‘Ghanan Ghanan’ to the concluding number ‘O Palan Hare’ all have a certain magical appeal.
