Audio Review : The music could have been better

Producer: Duraisingam Pillai, Karunamurthy K
Director: Thirumurugan
Cast: Bharath, Poorna, Vadivelu
Music: Vidyasagar
Singers: Jeyamoorthy, Manicka Vinayagam, Tippu, Malathi Laxman,  Anuradha Sriram, Haricharan, Mahathi, Tippu

The film has Bharath, Poorna and Vadivelu in important role and is directed by Thirumurugan and is produced by Datho Rena. Duraisingam, K.Karunamurthi. The film has Vidyasagar scoring the music. Five songs have been tuned for the movie.

‘Kombu vitta kaalaiyenna’ comes in voice of Tippu. Vairamuthu pens the lyrics. It is a number meant for the youth. Tippu’s rendition is attractive and clear. With the charming track, the album begins on the right note.

Haricharan and Mahati deliver another articulate number ‘Pottakkuruviyo’. This is a beautiful track with lyrics by Vairamuthu suggestive of youthful passions. A soft song, you’ll just flow with it.

Manikkam Vinayagam’s voice renders ‘Kodangi vandirukken’. Anuradha Sriram assists him adding fun to the song. The western interludes makes for an interesting hear. Also the percussion instrument appears in sync. Lyrics are by Vairamuthu.

Vairamuthu pens a lighthearted number and Malathy Laxman seems to be enjoying in her powerful voice. Jayamurthi also follows her to the best. ‘Kattippidikkum karadiyai’ turns to be a fast paced number.

'Imayamalaiyum' is a remixed version of a couple of lines from the previous four songs rendered by Tippu, Manikkam Vinayagam, Pravin mani and Jayamurthi.

Vidyasagar has done a good job with the music, but one wishes if he could have used energetic dancing numbers in the album and softer orchestra music for some of the tracks.
