‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ comes from producers Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and PVR Cinema. The film is directed by Abbas Tyrewala. Introducing new lead Imran Khan in the main, the film has Genelia D'Souza paired opposite him. A.R. Rahman does the music and the lyrics are by . Abbas Tyrewala. Naseruddin Shah, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Arshad Warsi, Ratna Pathak and Paresh Rawal comprise the supporting cast.
 
'Rats' that’s what Jai Singh Rathore (Imran Khan) prefers to call himself. Though he is a Rajput, he is a non –violent and very soft natured. In the same zone there is Aditi Mahant (Genelia D'Souza) popularly known as 'Meow'. She is just the opposite to ‘Rats’ as the name itself suggest. Violent, passionate, snarling and don’t dare fight with her if you don’t want to be bruised. When in need call Jai as he is the only person who can calm her.

Jai thinks Aditi's parents should have at least tried to bring her up with little gentleness and Aditi thinks that he is the biggest coward on earth. Though he is a Rajput, he doesn’t have the trait of the blood. Though there are very unmatchable to think of, yet in some odd way which is beyond one’s understanding, they are a perfect pair.  Everybody knows this except they themselves! When will they discover love and the love they have for each other and how will they know it, the film revolves around. Many problems and quarrelling things add to the problem between the two.

Here Rotlu fancies her and Bombs' heart beats for Jai. Jiggy’s golden hairs are his speciality and Shaleen replicates a piece of music.
