Producer and director Tanveer Ahmad churns out enigmatic and eternally blissful love story of youth casting Ayaan Ahmad and Nauheed Cyrusi as the protagonists. Yet again Rahman generates his finesse and versatility with ‘Ada’. The music is fresh and is a break from the new breed of tunes, which sets it apart. It’s a complete album and has everything one can look for with tracks resounding in romantic duets, soulful melodies, playfulness of youth, and others. All in all making it mesmerizing coming from Rahman.

‘Ishq Ada Hai’ is the first track. Rashid Ali has rendered the male version, who has now become a regular in the Rahman camp. The track has got simplistic yet smooth guitar riffs making it much unlike Rahman’s composition. Sufi is making waves all round and Rahman too does not shy away of the fact and this can be clearly felt.

Parul Mishra debuts with the female version of the same track and does justice with the innocence in her voice. The voice is new, as well as refreshing, which gives a poignant touch to the number. Parul rocks and makes the female version more pleasure to ones ears.

If you would have thought Alka Yagnik’s days are over, take a look around,‘Hawa Sun Hawa’ is a track you can put your money on right away. Sonu Nigam technical touch makes the song even more worthwhile. It’s a Rahman track all the way and you gonna get grilled right from the word go.

Sonu and Alka once again team up for ‘Gumsum’. It’s a youthful and track and is quite peppy and catchy. Rahman yet again shows his versatility with musical sense and you keep feeling something new is around. It’s a type of track which would take someone back to his or her love memories and rekindle their hearts once again.

Sonu and Sunidhi Chauhan do the track ‘Gulfisha’. Its got a ‘Rangeela’ Rahman feel. Sunidhi’s skilled voice and control makes it an awesome number. Its one of those tracks with a well rounded orchestrate kinda feel.

‘Meherbaan’ is a Rahman’s classic and he does not disappoint often if ever with his voice and this time it is no different. It’s smooth, serene, and blissful and is the finest of the album. The track is splendid and its creativity at its supreme.

Yet again there is a Chitra style song beginning with a high. ‘Tu Mera Hai’ is a Chitra trademark. Sukwinder Singh does the obsession theme and is a regular with Rahman and does justice with the track.

‘Hai Dard’ is a Udit Narayan number. It’s tragically done and has a remorseful feel. Its not gone too well yet Udit does pretty well. it somehow fails to click the right note we would say.

Jayachandran with Alka render for ‘Milo Wahan Wahan’. The sound and feel of the track is serene and is a real pleasure to the listener’s ears.

To conclude, ‘Ada’ is a well-rounded album and has the essence of making it big. Its got range and the lyrics penned by Nusrat Badr are excellent. All in all yet again Rahman does not disappoint you a bit in this musical sojourn.
