Director: Talat Jani

Music: Nadeem-Shravan
Singers: Alka Yagnik, Babul Supriyo, Kavita Krishnamurti, Anuradha S, Sonu Nigam, Kay Kay, Sunidhi Chauhan

After successfully romancing on screen in ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’ Tushar and Kareena Kapoor are at it again. Let us wait and watch whether their onscreen comradeship works for this Vashu Bahgnani movie or not.

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani this movie launches a new director in to the competitive field of movie making- Talat Jani. Nadeem Shravan scores music whereas Sameer pens down the lyrics. This team has given us some memorable tracks in the past. Let us hope the same happens here also.

Smoothly and softly this album unfolds before you. The opening track is nothing less than an awesome number. All the three singers, Babul Supriyo, Alka Yagnik and Kavita Krishnamurthy, breathe life into this song. On the whole a soft and melodious love track to loosen your tightened heart chords. Sameer’s lyrics are so simple that it comes naturally on our lips.

Next track ‘Allah Allah’ surprises you with its unusual location and picturisation. Shot under the waterfall this qawali track captures your heart with its vibrant music and nice lyrics.

‘Tu Hai Sola Satrah Saal’ takes you to another realm of music. Even though it sounds similar to ‘Leke Pehla Pehla Pyaar’ a distinct Nadeem Sharavan feel is evident in the track. Abhijeet and Kavita are at their lively best. On the whole a nice and enjoyable dance track.

To add to the celebration Nadeem –Shravan comes out with a Punjabi flavored track. ‘Anuradha Sriram gets to sing this song titled ‘Dupatta’. Even though it sounds familiar this is one of the best tracks in this album.

‘Kash Ke Tujhse Milte’ suddenly puts you in a trance. Placed in between two masti tracks the song creates an unknown magical experience. This is the only slow track in the whole album. Alka Yagnik and KK get to croon this slow paced, sad number.

Babul Supriyo and Sunidhi Chauhan hold the mike for this playful number ‘Pyaar Maange’. This peppy, vibrant track gains a lot from the vocals of these two singers. Music is fast paced and rhythmic. Nadeem and Shravan succeed in covering up the shortcomings of the lyrics with their vivacious music arrangement. You can enjoy this number as long as it stays.

‘Ek Baar To India’ hails the beautiful land of cultural abundance and natural beauty. Alka Yagnik and Babul Supriyo cakewalk through this situational track.

To sum up, this album cannot be termed as the popular collection of this year. But compared to some other tracks this one fares well. Most of the songs are catchy and rhythmic. It may go well with today’s yuppie generation.
