Audio Review : Nothing extraordinary!

Producer: Bhanwar Lal Sharma
Director: Anant Mahadevan
Cast: Dino Morea, Minissha Lamba, Koena Mitra, Aarti Chhabria, Achint Kaur, Gulshan Grover
Music: Anu Malik
Singers: Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Anu Malik, Krishna

Anant Mahadevan’s track record over the years hints that he hardly falters when it comes to the music of the film - Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar, Dil Maange More, Aggar and Aksar has provided pretty impressive music with the only exception being Victoria No. 203 which released last year. For Anamika, Anu Malik arrives after a hiatus. Sameer teams up with him for the lyrics.

The first track of the album 'Shagufta Dil' offers nothing ground breaking. It’s a solo show by Shaan. The music sounds dated and that’s the biggest set back for the number. Efforts to make it hip and happening with Western arrangements  doesn’t help much. The track has a heard before appeal and therefore it fails to impress.

Even Jatin Sharma's 'remix version' doesn’t help the proceedings at all!

Anu Malik brings up his trademark style of music with 'Aashiqui'. It’s the melody that works in its favour. This romantic track has Shaan coming along with the chorus, making it a hummable number. The light music is enjoyable not intruding much with the tunes.

For this film set in a Rajasthan backdrop, 'Aayo Re' is a folksy track with Rajasthani folk as its base that Anu Malik offers next.  'Kesariya Balam' makes up for the beginning standing true of being a folk number for the first few minutes before taking a turn with added fusion. However the tracks falls short of impressing the groovy minds.

There is a remix version of the track as well. Western arrangements add its touch. This celebration number is in the voice of Sunidhi Chauhan. Though there is a vintage feel to the track, yet the beats and rhythm will make you groove.
