Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor debuts as the director of the mega bonanza Tashan under the banner of  Yash Raj Films. It is supposed the most awaited flick of the season with a cast that would generate intrigue for the viewers because of casting of Saif and Kareena for the first time after their much talked about relationship.

Vishal and Shekar who has become quite regular with the YRF camp scores the music of the movie. Their traditional hip-hop beats and peppy tunes and punchy lyrics comes to fore for the soundtrack as well.

'Dil Haara'a is first track of the album and has the folksy style vocals of Sukwinder Singh. Piyush Sharma is the lyricist and does decent job. The music is quite catchy and shows the versatility of Vishal-Shekar, making a track, which feels quite earthen yet trendy. The picturisation is looks great with Saif and Kareena chemistry.

'Chaliyya' is trademark Vishal-Shekar track. It’s a rhythm song with the signature line Na Lada Na Lada forming the main part and delivering the rhythm. Anvita Dutt has penned the lyrics and is quite innovative in his lyrics flaunting an Hindi touch. Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals add more punch to the song. The track fits right with Kareena’s image of a cool lass.

'Dil Dance Maare' comes more as surprise with its lyrics, but soon you get hooked to lyrics. The lyrics is a mix of English, Hindi and Bhojpuri, penned by Vishal Dadlani, is very fresh and new. Sukhwinder Singh , Sunidhi Chauhan, and Udit Narayan render the voice and match quite well to the characters. The picturisation is hip and cool and especially Kareena’s anorexic look has made quite a wave. All in all it would make a big wave in apna Laloo land

'Falak Tak' is totally unlike the rest of the numbers. This track comes as a soothing piece and is different from the mood of the whole album. The lyrics have been penned by Kausar Munir. Udit Narayan and Mahalakshmi Iyer are at their best and provide good hearing. 'Falak Tak' feels good to the ears pulsating background track and is refreshing.

'Tashan Mein' sounds more as a background score than a track. It is a pulsating background track with repeated lines 'Tashan Mein'. Vishal and Saleem’s dominate the score while Piyush Mishra’s lyrics elevate it further.  It is a stylish track and the rock feel it carried add to the delight.

‘Tashan’ means style and each track weaves a unique and stylish aspect by making each characters mouth some dialogues like - 'Pooja Ka Tashan' by Kareena, 'Jimmy Ka Tashan' by Saif, 'Bachchan Pande Ka Tashan' by Akshay and 'Bhaiyyaji Ka Tashan' by Anil respectively.
