His eyes first met hers when she tipped down to serve him a drink and voila it was love at first sight. He was a psychiatrist but she seemed to quiz his poor mind, proving to be an unsolved enigma for his wits.
Her eyes first met his when he was on a high. She watched him trip and fall and make fool of himself. She was strong and daring, and wasn’t the one to give away her heart so easily.
And from here took off the endearing love saga of two loving hearts, Ajay (Ajay Devgan) and Pia (Kajol).
Cruising gaily over the light waves, Ajay is happily on board with his friends Nikhil and Reena, an unhappily married couple and Vicky and Natasha, a happily unmarried duo, dealing with the not so pleasing conjugal friction, ugly fights, painful hangovers, when he bumps into Pia and his life seems to change forever.
After a nightmarish first meet, Ajay is hell-bent to woo her, no matter how, even if that meant sneaking into her secret little notepad. She isn’t an easy prey, but somehow he manages to swirl into his heart and steal that little corner she had reserved for that special somebody.
Time ticks by and Ajay and Pia find their real meaning of life in each other. But sadly like all love stories, there is an anticlimax to it as well. A volley of deceit and debauchery gradually clouds over their bond resulting into the storm of separation.
But true love is destined to reach its goal. Ajay holds on to time patiently awaiting his love. Even Pia cannot hold her feelings and rushes back to his arms. With their love fully convinced, they decide to tie the knot, despite the umpteenth advices and ugly fate of all other conjugal ties around them.
But against all the ill beliefs, Ajay and Pia’s marriage blooms day after day much to the wonder of their buddies.
But like all happy marriage, this one too isn’t short of problems. Some big some small differences creep into their lives weakening their bond with every passing moment and gradually love seems to take a backseat for Ajay and Pia as well.
However, the two cling onto the marriage, no matter how big their differences are, no matter how difficult the situation is. Ajay and Pia stand tall through difficulties and differences realizing that the true worth of marriage lies not in separation but in clinging close to each other through thick and thin.
Together they brave all odds, dancing and tripping, but falling only to rise in love. Each time disaster strikes their relationship, the bond only gets deeper and deeper. The film is all about falling in love, again and again, with the same person, with the one we chose to share our entire being with, our entire life with.
Ajay and Pia may not find place with the connoisseurs of love. But in reality they stand as the epitome of love who chose to live together through storm and sunshine only to fall in love over and over again.
