‘Anthiponvettam’ is another film with the youngsters in the lead. The film has a list of technicians and cast lines. The highpoint of the film is the new and different plot presented differently. Debutante A V Narayanan is the director and M H Ramachandra is the cinematographer.

The story is of Jeevan and Nidhin. These young lads are enjoying their life in the city. They earn good and live a luxurious life but it’s their outlook and temperament that’s different from each other. Nidhin is half Gujarati, intelligent but he doesn’t believe in relationships. He has hardly got to spend time with his parents who were very busy and would meet him only at the airports. Jeevan was born and brought up traditionally in a village. His life has been very different from Nidhin’s. They are thick of friends and are possessive about each other. Jeevan used to narrate Nidhin his life in the village and on a holiday brought his there. Nidhin seeked the kind of experiences there that he has hardly enjoyed. The film gives some serious thoughts about latest concepts and effects of globalization.

Director A V Narayanan, in association with Psychiatrist, Dr S P Ramesh who had been the screenplay writer of famous films like ‘Pokkuveyil’ and ‘Margam’ has developed the story and screenplay of this film.

Remya Nambeeshan plays Vanitha, the female lead of the film. Arun and Saiju Kurup play Jeevan and Nidhin. Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudy Venu, Jagadheesh, N L Balakrishnan, T P Madhavan, Bindhu Vaarapuzha and Lekshmy Gopalaswamy are in important roles.

The film has five songs written by Dr S P Ramesh and set to music by M Jayachandran. Jassie Gift, Sudeep Kumar, Suneethy Chaouhan, Krishna Kumar and Vineeth Sreenivasan have rendered the chart topping songs. Mahesh Narayanan does the editing of the film while Gokul Das handles the art direction. The film is produced in the banner of Cinema NSR Combines by N Siva Rao and associates. The shooting has been mainly done at Ottappalam and surrounding areas.
