Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next magnum opus is ‘Saawariya’ that smells fresh with new starcast in the coup. Starring two brand new faces of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, this film also stars two of Bhansali’s favorite stars Rani Mukerjee and Salman Khan. Bhansali’s new film is based on White Nights, the short story by Fyodor Dostoevsky, which happens in a period of four nights and a morning.

This is a striking story of a bashful romantic, Raj (Ranbir Kapoor) who is only twenty-two years old. This recluse soul likes to spend most of his hours in his cabin forming riddles and ruling answers to them, prattling poetry or differing with his silly landlady Miss Disa, with whom he shares a love-hate rapport. Raj is a sweetheart who is adored by all because of his cheerful demeanor.

But this happy-go-lucky guy is unaware of destiny’s shrewd plan that is to change his life forever over the next four nights of his life.

This is the tale of two young hearts chance encounter and the progression of their like fixation over four successive nights. A spur-of-the-moment romance kicks off when the two hearts meet each other in far-flung town in the tranquil beauty of pictorial Simla, a place known for its lakes, mist, heavenly snowfall, rains and the tall swaying pine trees.

The bright, fun-filled winding streets of the mall come alive with singing clubs, rustic folklore, dancing, love ballads, flourishing colonies of artists and weavers, and chants from the monastery- all woven in perfect harmony into a magical dream.

It is in the arms of this place that the dreamer gets to see his lost self. This four nights is about to give him the bliss that he will carry off to his grave.
