Vettrimaran next film in the threshold is ‘Polladhavan’ starring Dhanush and Divya in the main leads. Vettrimaran has earlier worked as an associate to cinematographer - director Balu Mahendra. Discussing his next release actor Dhanush states that for this film he has don the role of a guy next door with high aspirations. The problems he faces while climbing up his success forms the skin of this tale. Continuing to talk about his film Dhanush adds that it is a romantic entertainer and that the film will be soon ready for release.

When queried about his maiden release the director is quick to reply that it was really nice working with a good actor like Dhanush. The director is all praise for his actor who believes that Dhanush delivered the right kind of feelings and emotions all throughout.

Talking about his actress Vettrimaran says that Divya oozes spark and talent and has pulled off her role greatly.

G V Prakash who has churned out nearly six chartbuster tracks for the album handles the music for this film.

Noted cinematographer Velraj handles the camerawork while editing is being done by V T Vijayan. A large chunk of the film is shot in and around Chennai.
