The hit choreographer turned hit director Farah Khan has proven with her very maiden venture ‘Main Hoon Na’ that the director’s hat neatly fits her skull. After garnering accolades from all quarters for her first film, the lady is back with her next ambitious enterprise ‘Om Shanti Om’ that is raring to go. Apart from casting her dear chum and favorite actor Shahrukh Khan in the main lead, the film also launches supermodel turned actress Deepika Padukone. Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade and Malaika Arora Khan form the rest of the main starcast.

The title has been borrowed from one of the hit songs of the 70s featuring Rishi Kapoor – ‘Om Shanti Om’ from the film ‘Karz’. By the way, Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ too is based on the parallel plot of reincarnation like ‘Karz’. Farah Khan assures that her film is loaded with fun, action and drama that will surely bowl over the audience.

The drama trails the life of an artist of the seventies who falls in love with his ultimate lady. Nevertheless the happiness is short lived as the poor fellow dies in an untimely accident. He is reborn again and the story soars into the 21st century. The reminiscence of his earlier birth recurrently haunts the young man and he struggles hard to solve the mystery.

Rumour has it that the film is inspired from the Hollywood flick ‘Chances are’ that narrates the story of a reincarnated man who tries to find his wife from his previous birth.
But as many years have skipped in between, the now aged wife disbeliefs the young man words and turns him down.

Gifted musician do Vishal-Shekhar are entrusted with the music of the film that has its lyrics done by none other than veteran Gulzaar saab. Even it is rumored that international diva Shakira is about to make an appearance in the film.

This film is guaranteed to set all the heart beat pumping as Shahrukh Khan sizzles bare body on the screen. Even the presence of hotshot actors adds to the steam of the flick.
