All Shreyas Talpade fans have a reason to rejoice as this talented fellow has managed to tuck in quite a few projects under his belt. Apart from doing some commercial spicy flicks, he is also busy doing some off hand films. His latest film ‘Dil Dosti Etc.’ is being directed by debutante Manish Tiwari and produced by Prakash Jha production. This film also includes actors like Imaad Shah, Nikita Anand, Ishita Sharma and Smriti Mishra. Music by Siddharth-Suhas and rock band Agnee comes as a fresh surprise. The title of the film fills one with apprehension about the kind of music in store but a quick earshot through all the tracks releases the anxiety as the songs sound pleasing indeed.
The opening track ‘Dum Laga’ is a campus song that launches with guitar strums. This is one of Siddharth-Suhas genuine tracks rendered flamboyantly by Suraj Jagan and Hamza. A metrical number penned by Raam Goutam, Prashant Pandey, Siddharth and Suhas, this track brings to the fore all the fun and flings of college going guys. The remix version is interspersed with dialogues in between and is remixed by DJ Phat. After a couple of listening, you are surely to get into the real hang of it.
'Lamha Ye Jayega Kahan’ comes from the rock band Agnee and is rendered by K Mohan who hums out this Prashant Pandey written song with absolute feel that makes it out to be a soulful number. This is truly non-filmy number and will impress lovers of pop genre.
Another funky jazzy song to be dished out by Siddharth-Suhas is ‘Sambhalo Dil Ko’ rendered by the reigning voice in playback arena, Sunidhi Chauhan. This track is loaded with club feel and will go down smoothly with club frequency. A good promotional campaign can benefit the sales of the film.
The album takes a twirl from pop with ‘More Baanke Chhaliya’ a typical ‘mujra’ number rendered by Aarti Ankalikar. This purely situational track supposedly choreographed on Smriti Mishra who plays a prostitute in this movie is a classically bent song and will be appreciated by demure lovers of music.
But the best of all tracks to appear last in the credits is ‘Man Moniye’ a full-blown dance number that is definite to get everyone out on the dance floors. This Kumar written track is crooned by Labh Janjua while Mona renders the female lines in English. This groovy track will surely be another feather on Labh Janjua’s hat. This song is high on energy with racy cadence and zany beats. The remix version by DJ Phat prolongs the racy feel of the track.
The album of this film may hold only four tracks to its credit along with the remix version but that doesn’t steal away the sheen of the songs. The album has both classy and massy appeal and will be well liked by the listeners.
