‘Manorama Six Feet Under’ is debutante director Navdeep Singh’s venture into the genre of film noir. This thriller caper has loads of undertones of numerous social and human issues reverberating within.

Set in the arid locales of Rajasthan, the film is mainly spun around a part-time detective who gets entangled in the bines of deceit, treachery and murder.

Satyaveer Singh (Abhay Deol) is a government engineer by profession but he had been forever interested in penning down a detective novel. However his debut writing enterprise is a complete dud and is ultimately forced to write cheap pulp fictions for a magazine.

Cowed down by failure and frustration, Satyaveer Singh gradually begins to feel choked until a new opportunity knocks his door. Wife (Sarika) of an influential politician comes to him with an alluring proposal that of spying over her husband (Kulbhushan Kharbanda).  Lured by such an offer, Satyaveer immediately accepts the case.

After he completes the case, he is jittered to discover that the woman is a fraud. Things get further jeopardized when she is killed in a perplexing mishap.

Braining that something is terribly wrong somewhere, he delves deep into the matter to get to the core of all things only to discover that nothing is like what it appears and that his release from this ugly pit isn’t easy.
