A very unusual hair-raising exhilarating comic caper to knock this season is Priyadarshan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ that promises an experience that you have never undergone before.

US based Siddharth (Shiney Ahuja), who has imperial pedigree to boast of, returns back to his house in India after a long stay in the States. But least does he know about the looming events awaiting him there that will demystify all his logic and reasoning forever. His stay in India is about to take him on a roller-coaster ride through fogginess, discovery, distress, confusion and shock.

Siddharth’s outsized family warmly receives him and his recently wedded wife Avni (Vidya Balan) when they return to India. But they object rigorously when Siddharth resolves to put up at his ancestral heritage house during his brief stay there. Badrinarayan Chaturvedi (Manoj Joshi), his elder uncle, does not hold himself back from voicing out his annoyance for this is the very mansion that holds a lethal clandestine in its bosom that has continued to ruin the family time after time since ages.

But Siddharth is a rational soul who disregards all the tell tales and finally moves in the lavish mansion with his dear wife Avni, who too is modern and rational like him. But early enough, the duo is forced to reassess their choice. Startling undertakings, mystifying elements, appalling clues and critical incidents flock in their corridor and soon enough the events take an astonishing twirl that demands immediate help.

Siddharth approaches his doctor friend Aditya (Akshay Kumar) who is somewhat radical, unusual and erratic, to help them find out a solution to this eerie ongoing. With a case like this, his luminous mind comes up with a key to this problem. But soon enough he realizes that nothing is like what it seems and that there lies a shocking secret in the core of the mansion that is enough to explode the reality.
