M Jayachandran has forever emphasized on composing innovative and touching symphonies. Although accused of plagiarism, over the years Jayachandran has emerged as one of the high-flying music directors of Malluwood. His latest offering is ‘Nivedhyam’ for which he churns out some delightful melodies.

The soundtrack unfolds with ‘Alaipayuthe’ a classical number rendered by Krishna Kumar and Swetha in their own individual fashion. This track is again repeated in Krishna Kumar’s voice aided by a chorus in the later part of the album.

‘Chittatin Kaavil’ is another delightful song neatly crammed with classic Kerala orchestration. This is a solo track by Sankaran Namboothiri, which drifts from classical ragas to country music leaving the singer with a good scope to expose himself. This is Sankaran’s best track till date.

M Jayachandran goes behind the mike ‘Hai Krishna’ a devotional track that is encumbered with beautifully penned lyrics by Kaithapram. This emotional song is definitely worth hearing.

‘Kaayampoovo’ is a slow paced romantic number and arguably the best of all other songs. The major highlight is its passionate and soulful rendition by K S Chithra and Sudeep Kumar. The musical arrangement is nothing unique, yet it imparts novelty to this track. Kaithapram’s lyrics make us sway with its soft effect.

The track that has already made its way into the charts is ‘Kolakuzhal’ rendered by Swetha and Vijay Yesudas. It is an uplifting piece of melody. With the orchestration, lyrics and vocals playing in complete sync, this track is a pleasant treat.

‘Krishna Nee’ is another classical tune in offering rendered with full skill by Sudha Ranjith.

‘Lalithalavonga’ is a petite song rendered by Sudeep Kumar and Swetha. This piece of music is also stirring.

The last track to line up is ‘Tham Thakida’, a country-dance number crooned by Vijay Yesudas and penned by C J Kuttappan.  This track is sure to get the listeners grooving. The chorus coupled with soft triple drums makes this track an endearing experience.

This album supplies a plethora of melodious symphonies, diverse musical genres and genuine tracks. This album is for all who have grown out of today’s typical music and is looking ahead for something different. On the whole, a splendid musical album that offers a great earshot.
