'Marigold' is purely a love story that not only has two hearts but also Hollywood romancing Bollywood. This film, which features Salman Khan and Ali Larter along with Nandana Sen and Ian Bohen, is a musical romantic comedy of a young girl, Marigold Lexton, who travels all the way to India only to encounter transition.
Marigold, who is an American actress, pull up in India for a film assignment but the project somehow falls apart and she eventually finds her working for a Hindi film. Willing to make a mark in the industry she solicits Prem's aid. After numerous attempts it becomes apparent that she lacks natural dancing skills. Though her dancing endeavors end on a bitter note, she finds herself in love with Prem.
But gradually she comes to learn that Salman not only hails from royal background but is also engaged to an Indian girl Janvi. This revelation splinters her love and she leaves obstinately. But she returns back when Janvi confirms that Prem doesn't love her nor will he ever do. But as luck would have it Marigolds ex-boyfriend returns back into the scene that causes further misery for her.
But in the end true love emerges victorious and Marigold and Prem are brought together by fate while Barry and Janvi tail out on a journey of their own.
