The story hovers around Xerox a.k.a. Karuppasamy (Karan) who has a cycle stand close to Madurai Central bus stand. He also has a dance group who performs only in temple celebrations, which is an inherent tradition in Madurai. Xerox lives a very untroubled life in the company of his friends until Meenakshi (Meenakshi) enters into the scene.

Meenakshi who is practicing her M.B.B.S happens to visit Karuppasamy’s cycle stand everyday. His caring words remind her of her deceased mother whom she misses very much. Soon the two fall in love but Karuppasamy makes sure that she completes her education. But no sooner Meenakshi’s family learns about this newly bloomed affair, they try to get rid of Karuppasamy.

Karuppasamy agrees to let go of his love only with the conviction that Meenakshi’s family would let her finish here education. Whether Meenakshi finishes her edification or not forms the rest of the story.
