‘Classmates’ is a Telugu remake of Malayalam namesake hit that aims to highlight the merry nonchalant life of college goers. This is a cool flick that brims with juvenile flavor. It focuses on all the itsy bitsy of student’s life, their life, friendship, escapades and so on.
This film, which became a cult in Malluwood, is expected to bear the same results in Tollywood. Director K Vijay Bhaskar nods in agreement that this film too like the original one will work at arresting sense of fun among the youth even as they come to terms with the life’s realities. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is producing this film.
This film stars Sumanth in the lead role together with refined actress Sada. Other than them Kamalinee and Sarwanand are roped in to play the other two vital roles.
This is a soapy campus tale foamed up with adequate plotting and anxiety. A murder of one of the students heightens the suspense of the flick.
This flick mainly spins around the lives of a few college pals who come together after a span of 10 years when they are invited by the parents of their dead classmate. The story then vacillates between times to divulge their college days and the various zigzags that engage their lives. Since the film deals with young creed, a major part of it has been shot in college campus. Apart from this, the film has been shot in Arakku, Hyderabad and Vizag as well.
Sumanth is thrilled to be a part of this project. Even Sada and Kamalinee are excited about their new film.
Music director Koti is entrusted with the music for this film who has gone out of the way to compose some exuberant and peppy tracks for it. Just hope that Tollywood manages to hit the jackpot with this flick as well.
