Vijay Anthony is distinguished for his outstanding music and over the years he has succeeded to carve out a forte for himself. This young music composer has great penchant for selecting right kind of voices. That is why his music never fails to impress. ‘Naan Avanillai, is the remake of an old flick with the same name. Vijay Anthony assigns some amateur singer for the job in this flick. A blockbuster hit of the yesteryears ‘Radha Kadhal Varadha’ is excellently handled by Vijay Anthony and is sure to be a great success.

The inaugural track ‘Khakha Khakha’ instigates with cantos from well-known Kanda Sashti Kavasam and is a very playful, dazzling number. This track features all five heroines and the hero. The chorus is very silky. Fashioned after the bhangra trend, this track just rocks. All the singers including Vijay Anthony, Charultha Mani, Maya, Magha and Vinaya are quite commendable in their effort.
Next follows ‘Nee Kavidhai’ which is out an out a mushy track with foot tapping beats and haunting cadence. The best part of this track is Megha’s deep voice. The song starts in a slow pace but gathers speed as it moves towards its end. The lyrics are enticing and Vijay Anthony’s use of bass beats further pep it up. Kish voices out the male part.
‘Ean Enakku’ features debutant Sangeetha Rajeswaram who pours forth in an impressive style. This is another mushy track where Vijay Anthony uses dholaks, tabla and flute to exude the right amount of charm. This song bounces with melody. Jaydev croons out the male piece.
‘Macha Kanni’, the next track has Vijay Anthony lending his voice where he is assisted by Jayarajagopalan and Sathya Lakshmi. Vijay does a commendable job behind the mike. This song bounces with joy and is specially intended for the frontbenchers.
Next follows ‘Then Kudicha’, another zany track. This song has a good helping of Malayali flavor. Vijay Anthony makes a clever mix of the conventional Kerela musical instruments counting Chendai melam together with western melody. Naresh Iyer radiates energy into this track while Deepa Miriam labors show.
The last track in this album is ‘Radha Kadhal’ which is a remake of the original. Vijay Anthony does full justice to this track. Prassana is outstanding in this song while Maya, Vinaya and Sangetha Rajeswaran manage to get themselves heard. An amazing song it relives the memory of the yesteryears.
Vijay Anthony is good. The numbers are pleasing. In short a great buy!
