Adavari Matalaki Athalu Verule, as the title suggests, is a family entertainer. Venkatesh, the ladies man, over the years has carved a niche of his own for these kinds of movies. No wonder then, Adavari Matalaki Arthalu Verule turned out to be the biggest blockbuster this year.

Tamil director Sri Raghava who is better known for his teenage-love stories has packaged the film so well with a right blend of melodious music, comedy and superb performances. He has used the time-tested formula that worked magic on the screen. Top hero Venkatesh has given his career best performance here. In fact, he carried the movie on his broad shoulders single handedly. His overpowering charisma and presence made even dull moments lively. Trisha’s competent performance further helped the film becoming an engrossing entertainer.

It deals with the relationship between a father (Kota) and his son Ganesh (Venkatesh).
Ganesh, who has a laidback attitude in life. He doesn’t work even though he is well-over 35 years. When his father scolds, he joins a software firm and falls in love at first sight with Keerthi (Trisha), who happens to be a manager in that company. She encourages him to shine in his job and forms a friendship with him. He proposes to her on a trip abroad. But she refuses on the grounds that she’s already engaged. Ganesh’s father meets Keerthi and tries to convince her. She slaps both Ganesh and his father. Later that night, his father dies of a heart attack. It is later revealed that Keerthi is getting married to Vasu (Sriram), Ganesh’s close friend. Vasu takes Ganesh to their village. How Keerthi realizes her fault and falls for Ganesh forms the rest of the story.
