Arjun (Tusshar Kapoor) is a happy-go-lucky and wayward youth who falls in love with Kaajal (Ayesha Takia) at the very first sight. But he isn’t able to convey his feelings to her and follows her for some time before breaking the ice. He is in love with her but is afraid to convey his feelings and she is unaware about it. She just treats him as a friend. Kaajal comes across a letter that Arjun has written for the girl he loves but has no name or reference in it. Arjun asks if she were the girl he was in love with how would she reciprocate his feelings. Her reply makes him disappear from the scene.

Kaajal meets a successful and snobbish entrepreneur and after some verbal brawl, he feels that she is the girl he wants to marry to stabilize his life and make him mellow. Kaajal gets engaged to him. Arjun meets her during a coincidental encounter when he returns to South Africa.
